Juggling Climbers
We’ve been taken over by climbers!  Around 1000 climbers have signed up to climb Denali this year, we will host about 90 here at the Inn from May to mid July.  They all fly up to Base Camp from Talkeetna.  The climbers that stay with us are on guided expedtions with Alpine Ascents International,  www.alpineascents.com  a well respected mountain guide service that specializes in guiding the 7...

Smilla
We laid Smilla to rest last week.  It was a surprise to lose her so soon, she was a bad-ass and had lived through many misadventures… Of all our dogs, she had the wildest streak and the biggest reputation.  She loved to bite another dog’s balls or the base of their tail.  It really was not a good idea to let your dog out of your car if you were visiting on Smilla’s day loose,...

Whole Wheat Potatoes
We’re looking forward to a night out this week; Small Potatoes return to Talkeetna.  It’s been about 6 years since they were here, they played a house concert at Fireweed Station.  Yep, that’s right, Small Potatoes right here in our timber-frame Studio -  I’m so gald they’re playing over at Whole Wheat Radio this time!  We can relax and enjoy the show - I’m sure...
