Solstice snow: It snowed 14 inches in 7 hours last night! Of course the electricity went out - reminds us of the old days; very peaceful. Just in case we thought 14” was a big deal I found an old photo of Rose Kirsch near the outhouse circa 1955. How times have changed - I never wear a dress and fur coat to the outhouse anymore!
Tom is riding around in the old plow truck, having fun crashing into the berms, I’ve shoveled the rest and made sure we have enough firewood in before the power goes out again.
It’s good to get out during the short daylight hours, now it’s time to celebrate the light coming back slowly after today’s Solstice. We’ll raise a glass with friends and welcome the sun back into our world.
