Fireweed Station Inn

My veggie garden is threatening to turn back to the wild!  Hopefully we still have another couple weeks of summer left so we can eat all that lettuce…  My friend gave me a recipe for Lettuce Bread which has been a hit with our guests at the Inn so we’re slowly munching through the leaves.  The plague of black aphids swarming the area seem to prefer smothering the fireweed, leaving my garden bug-free for now. The intermittent rain showers have taken over my Dad’s job of watering the garden, now if we could just get a few guests interested in weeding…
