Spring Cleaning.
Tom & Airon have been away all week and I have the place to myself. What do women do when left alone? At the top of my list was Spring Cleaning! Any excuse to wear old clothes and turn up the tunes - I highly recommend loud Opera for feather dusting…
OK, so my kitchen was not quite this dirty when I started last week. This photo was taken about 10 years ago. We gutted our old log house in preparation for major restoration. We tried to keep the old character of the place, reusing floor boards and panelling, but the kitchen was past saving. I think the cabinets are in the garage now and we did plane the multi-coloured paint off the wall boards for use elsewhere.
Tom always wanted a professional kitchen having enjoyed working in many restaurants in another life. Now we’re all up to commercial health codes with stainless steel, 5 sinks, floor drains, tile floor etc… A joy to clean!
